Lights Out Automation can run the selected Automation Rule or all enabled Automation Rules automatically, even if you are not logged-in to Descartes ShipRush Web. This feature helps do the work even when your office is closed and "lights are out." Lights Out Automation can automatically print labels, assign tags, set Shipment options, and more, even when no one is in the office. It allows the software to spend money even when no one in your company is "watching."
A Master Automation Rule, if created, includes multiple Automation Rules that are executed in the order listed in the Master Automation Rule. A Master Automation Rule can be selected for Lights Out Automation. This option provides the advantage of controlling the order in which Automation Rules are executed.
Please note:
The selected Automation Rule(s) will run automatically when new Orders are imported.
A poorly designed Automation Rule or malfunction in the e-commerce system can cause out-of-control Shipping activity. Manual testing of your Automation Rules is important and prevents any unplanned results.
Warning: The testing of Automation Rules and Lights Out Automation, as well as any issues that may arise from running those options, is the responsibility of the customer.
