Can Descartes ShipRush determine whether those "past" Orders have already been shipped? |
No. PayPal does not tell us which Orders have been shipped. |
Are PayPal transactions updated with Shipment information? |
No. The PayPal system lacks a way for shipping systems to do this. |
eBay/Descartes ShipRush FAQs
These FAQs pertain to actions performed in Descartes ShipRush Web.
I sell on eBay and also have a web store that accepts PayPal payments. How does that work? |
Descartes ShipRush Web can take its feed from multiple web stores or channels. Set this up by using the Adding a Web Store wizard.
An option is to set up two PayPal accounts: One for eBay sales and one for off-eBay sales. Set up to hook to your eBay account and your off-eBay PayPal account. |
I downloaded a group of Orders that were shipped outside of Descartes ShipRush Web. However, Descartes ShipRush Web indicates that each of those Orders is "Ready to Ship" or "Unshipped". What should I do? |
The "shipped" status is not available from the PayPal system (see PayPal FAQs). Thus, Descartes ShipRush Web is only aware of Orders shipped within Descartes ShipRush Web.
The solution is to mark those shipped Orders as shipped in Descartes ShipRush Web. This can be done by selecting those Orders in the Order list, and then clicking Mark as Shipped in the More menu (top of screen). |
Linking Descartes ShipRush Web with PayPal
To link Descartes ShipRush with your PayPal account, you need this information:
API Username
API Password
API Signature
This information can be found within your PayPal account:
Note: API access is only available to PayPal Premium and Business accounts. If the PayPal account is a “Personal” account, it needs to be upgraded to Premium or Business.
To link Descartes ShipRush Web with PayPal:
Log into PayPal.
On the Tools dropdown, select All Tools.
Scroll to the API credentials area. Click Open.
Scroll to the NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic) option. Click Manage API credentials.
Copy and paste the information from PayPal into the PayPal Web Store Information dialog in Descartes ShipRush Web. See Adding a Web Store for instructions on displaying this dialog.
