Setting Up X-Cart

You need FTP access to your PrestaShop store to perform the initial setup. If you do not have FTP access, contact your web master for assistance.

1. Click SETTINGS, and then click Add Web Store (top of screen). The Web Store Configuration dialog is displayed.

2. On the Select a Web Store dropdown, select X-Cart.

3. Click Next. The X-Cart Setup Instructions dialog is displayed.
   

4. Read the X-Cart Setup Instructions.

5. Do one of the following:

   1. To perform the setup manually, click FTP not working? Click to setup manually, and then go through the wizard. You will download a zip file. Review the readme file included in the zip file.

   2. To setup automatically, click I HAVE FTP SERVER AND LOGIN. Go through the wizard until complete.

6. Upload the files to the root folder of the XCart installation.

Customizing XCart

The ShippingZXcart.php file can be modified to read from a customized XCart system. By default, XCart does not have a place, during checkout, for a buyer to enter a Company name. If the Company name is added as shown below, Descartes ShipRush Web will import it automatically. If this is done another way, modify the ShippingZXcart.php file to read this value from the appropriate place.
