Generic Print Driver Method

Zebra does not provide an official, downloadable print driver for Mac systems. However, most Mac operating systems include a pre-loaded, generic driver for Zebra printers. The driver needs to be attached to your connected Zebra printer. To set up a Zebra printer with your MAC using the generic Zebra driver:

  1. Confirm that your Zebra printer is connected to the Mac and the status light on the printer is solid green.

  2. On the Mac, go to System Preferences (on the desktop system menu).

  3. In the Hardware section, open Print & Scan.

  4. Click the + button (lower left of the new window).

  5. Select your Zebra printer in the list.

  6. On the Use dropdown, select Select Printer Software.

  7. On the Printer Software page, search for "Zebra".

  8. Select Zebra ZPL Label Printer.

  9. Click OK, and then click Add.

  10. Restart or install the ShipRush Web Toolbox to complete the setup process.

CUPS-Based Printer Set Up

Tip: See Zebra's knowledge base article for additional information on the setup and test of CUPS / OSX. The Zebra knowledge base walks through printer setup and printing a test page.

Restart (or install) the Desktop Toolbox to complete the setup process.
