Setting Up Direct Link in Descartes ShipRush Web
You will need this information to set up Direct Link in Descartes ShipRush Web:
Customer Number
Customer Code
Service ID
To set up Direct Link in Descartes ShipRush Web:
Click SETTINGS, and then click Add Carrier Account.
In the Carrier Configuration dialog, on the Select a carrier dropdown, select Direct Link v2. Click NEXT.
Accept the User Agreement, and then click NEXT.
Complete the rest of the setup wizard.
Service Options and Notes
Direct Link Standard Service is the only supported Service option.
Please note the following in regards to tracking:
Business Mail Economy: Not trackable. Tracking numbers are not available for these labels that could be saved to e-commerce or other systems.
Merchandise Mail Plus Level 1: Not fully trackable; only shows receipt of the item by Direct Link for processing.
Merchandise Mail Plus Level 2: Only the order number (entered by the client) is returned because the Service is not pure postal tracking.
Merchandise Mail Plus Level 3: Only returns the postal tracking number, which is visible on Direct Link (and in most cases the destination post). Use the destination post system to track. The actual trackability at that point varies by destination post; ask Direct Link for additional detail).
Merchandise Mail Plus Parcel: The same as Merchandise Mail Plus Level 3.
Merchandise Mail Plus Express: The same as Merchandise Mail Plus Level 3.
Email Notifications
Direct Link currently does not offer shipment email notifications for SmartPost shipments. To automatically email recipients with tracking numbers, configure Descartes ShipRush Web to send its own email notifications. Go to SETTINGS > your Dial Link account > Email.
Voiding Shipments
Voiding is not necessary. According to Direct Link, you are only billed for sent Shipments.

Printers Supported
Direct Link labels can be printed on laser, inkjet, and supported Zebra® thermal printers.
