Ship From Addresses
By default, the FROM address is printed on the shipping label, which is usually the address associated with your shipping account. This address is used to:
Calculate the distance between the FROM and TO addresses, determining the shipping rate.
Return the package, if needed.
When drop-shipping or shipping on behalf of others, you may need a different company name to appear in the label's FROM section. Go to SETTINGS > your FedEx account. Scroll to Ship From addresses where you can enter or modify Ship From addresses.
In other cases, you may need the FROM section of the label to indicate an address other than the one from which you physically ship. Examples:
Return shipments need to be received at a different location: You print labels at location "A" but physically ship from location "B" (and the distance between "A" and "B" is great enough to impact your rates).
SmartPost: By default, the FedEx servers hold the FROM information for the shipping label. The Alternate Return Address feature can be used to override this.
Setting Up an Alternate Return Address
To set up an Alternate Return Address:
Go to SETTINGS > Your FedEx account > Advanced. Select Alternate Return Address, and then enter the information.
