Descartes ShipRush supports FedEx Freight® (aka FedEx Express Freight) and FedEx LTL Freight® shipping that originate in the U.S. and Canada. To use either of these services, your FedEx account must be enabled for the relevant freight services. (Contact your FedEx Account Executive to confirm eligibility.)
Note: In order to process LTL shipments in Descartes ShipRush, the FedEx LTL freight account must be linked to a FedEx Ground account. The FedEx account must be a 9-digit FedEx account (e.g., a regular FedEx Ground or Express account with the FedEx LTL account linked on the FedEx side). Descartes ShipRush will not accept an 8-digit Freight account number directly.
Enabling FedEx LTL Freight®
To enable LTL Services for your FedEx account:
Go to SETTINGS > your FedEx account > Advanced.
Select Enable LTL freight services. Once enabled, the Services will appear on the shipping screen along side your standard (non-freight) FedEx services (see next section).
Note: FedEx LTL Freight® does not support setting future ship dates. Creating an LTL shipment schedules a standard FedEx pickup for the next business day automatically.
Using LTL Bill to Account for a Shipment

Enabling FedEx Freight®
To enable LTL Services:
Go to SETTINGS > your FedEx account > Advanced.
Select Enable freight services. The Services now appear on the shipping screen along side your standard (non-freight) FedEx services.
Note: FedEx Freight does not support the use of a different "From", or return address for shipments. Please be sure to use the same address that FedEx has on file for your Freight account.
