Managing ShipRush Tracking Page Templates

The Settings - Templates page can be used to create Tracking Page templates. These templates are used to create custom tracking webpages, which customers can use to view tracking information and updates. This feature can be enabled for Carrier accounts and webstores. The templates can be customized using the template editor by entering text and selecting fields through the interface or your own HTML code. Some users refer to the Tracking Page as a white label tracking page. See also Enabling Tracking Page Template for Carrier Account or Web Store.

The Settings - Templates page also includes options for editing, copying, and deleting existing Tracking Page Templates.

Note: Tracking Page templates only apply to UPS, FedEx, or USPS shipments.

Warning: Tracking web pages generated by the template are deleted automatically 30 days after package delivery.


Creating a Tracking Page Template

To create a Tracking Page Template:

  1. Display the Settings - Templates page (SETTINGS > ACCOUNT SETTINGS > Templates).

  2. Scroll to the Tracking Page Templates pane.


  3. Click the plus-sign button (Add Template) highlighted above. The New Template is displayed in the template editor, containing the default Tracking Page Template.


  4. Enter a unique Name for the template.

  5. To add a field to the template, first position the cursor at the desired location. Pressing ENTER moves the cursor to the next line. Click the field's title (located under Order or Shipment). The field is displayed at the cursor's location. Add additional fields, as needed.

  6. As needed, enter text directly into the template.

  7. These options are available:

    • Display the editor full-screen: Click

    • Move a field: Double-click the field to select it, and then use cut-and-paste

    • Delete a field: Double-click the field to select it, and then press DELETE

    • Formatting: After selecting text, click the corresponding button to select a formatting option: Styles, paragraph Format, Font style, font Size, bold, italics, numbering, or bullet

    • Insert an image, a table, a horizontal line, or a link: Click the corresponding toolbar button

    • Display the template's editable source code: Click Source. You can then enter HTML code to configure the page.

  8. To preview the template in your browser, click Preview in Browser.

  9. Click Save. The new Tracking Page Template is listed in the Tracking Page Templates pane.

Editing, Copying or Deleting Tracking Page Templates

To edit, copy, or delete a Tracking Page Template:

  1. Display the Settings - Templates page (SETTINGS > ACCOUNT SETTINGS > Templates).

  2. Scroll to the Tracking Page Templates pane.


  3. These options are available:

    • delete: Deletes the template.

    • edit: Allows you to edit the template.

    • copy: Creates a new template based on the existing template. Click copy. "Copy Of" is included in the Name field. Edit the Name, as needed. Edit the template. To preview the template, click Preview in Browser. Click Save.
