This procedure below can be used to set up one or more Carrier accounts. Depending on the Carrier, you may receive a verification code on your cell phone. See also Applying Settings to Carrier Accounts.
Adding a Carrier Account
To add a Carrier account:
Click SETTINGS.
Click Add Carrier Account. The Carrier Configuration dialog is displayed.
You can also display the Carrier Configuration dialog by clicking Accounts (top of screen) and then clicking the plus-sign.-
Do one of the following:
Click one of the Carrier icons (for example, UPS, FedEx, United States Postal Service, or DHL). The United States Postal Service option is used to set up a ShipRush USPS account.
On the dropdown, select a Carrier.
Click Next.
Descartes ShipRush takes you through multiple dialogs where you accept the Carrier's Terms and Conditions, enter your Shipper Information, and select various options. Certain Carriers, such as USPS, require you to select printing parameters. Depending on the selected Carrier, you can create a new account from "scratch" or use information from an existing account. Certain Carriers require that you enter an account number or other information provided by the Carrier.
The last dialog includes the You Have Successfully Set-up Your Account message. Click CONFIGURE ANOTHER CARRIER or GO BACK TO SETTINGS.
Once you click GO BACK TO SETTINGS, go to Adding Printer and Shipping Label Information.
Adding Printer and Shipping Label Information to Carrier Account
Clicking GO BACK TO SETTINGS (see last step in previous section) displays the Settings page.
Note: The Settings page can also be displayed by clicking the Back button (upper right) or launching Descartes ShipRush and then clicking SETTINGS.
To add printer and shipping label information for an existing Carrier account:
In the menu, select a Carrier, such as UPS or SHIPRUSH USPS. The menu includes the print options and account names for the selected Carrier. In the example below, Carrier UPS is selected. Two UPS accounts are shown in the menu.
Click a Carrier account name (for example, Account 227F2X). The available print options for the selected Carrier account are displayed near the top of the menu. The available print options vary, depending on the selected Carrier. For example, SHIPRUSH USPS has more print options than UPS.

Click a Printer menu option:
Printer: Shipping Label
Printer: Documents
Printer International
Printer: Large Envelopes
Printer: Letter Post
The corresponding print dialog is displayed. For example:
As needed (if available in the dialog), select the Printing Method, Label Type, Printer Type, Page Size, # of Copies, margins, Rotate/Flip option, and PDF options. To display Help for a field in the dialog, position your cursor on the .
Selecting Rotate / Flip rotates the printout 90-degress on laser printers and 180-degress on thermal printers. The Download Labels as PDF checkbox is available if "Print to Laser/Injet" is the selected Printing Method. Selecting this option downloads PDF labels and/or packing lists for future use.To test your settings, click Print Test Label to send a sample label to your printer.
As needed, repeat these steps to add printer and shipping label information for another Carrier account.
