Overview

Paquet Express is a domestic shipping carrier for Mexico that provides parcel delivery services with multiple service levels and delivery options. ShipRush integrates with Paquet Express to enable seamless shipping for businesses operating within Mexico.

Coverage: Mexico domestic shipping only (no international shipments)

Getting Started

Account Setup

To use Paquet Express in ShipRush, you'll need the following credentials from your Paquet Express account:

  • Username - Your Paquet Express account username

  • Password - Your account password

  • Account Number - Your billing account number

  • Quote Token - API token for rate requests

  • Quotation Password - Password for quotations

Enter these credentials when adding a new Paquet Express carrier account in ShipRush under Carrier Accounts.

Supported Features

Shipping Services

Paquet Express offers five service levels for domestic Mexico shipments:

  • Standard - Standard ground delivery

  • Same Day - Same-day delivery service

  • One Day - Next business day delivery

  • Second Day - Two business day delivery

  • Next Day Before 12 - Next day delivery by 12:00 PM

Package Types

Choose from three packaging options:

  • Package - Standard parcel

  • Envelope - Document envelope

  • Pallet - Palletized freight

Payment Options

Paquet Express supports multiple payment methods:

  • Prepaid - Charges to your account

  • Consignee - Recipient pays shipping charges

  • Third Party - Another party's account is charged (requires third party account number)

Important: When using Third Party or Consignee billing, insurance automatically switches to carrier insurance to ensure proper coverage.

Available Features

  • Rate Shopping - Compare rates across all five service levels to find the best price

  • Single Package Shipments - Ship individual packages

  • Multi-Package Shipments (MPS) - Ship multiple packages together as one order with consolidated tracking

  • Pickup Requests - Schedule package pickups from your location (home collection). A confirmation number will be provided after scheduling

  • Declared Value/Insurance - Add carrier insurance to protect high-value shipments. Insurance amount can be specified per package

  • Cash on Delivery (COD) - Collect payment from the recipient upon delivery. COD amount can be specified per package

  • Delivery Confirmation - Require acknowledgment of receipt/signature upon delivery (generates two labels with separate tracking numbers)

  • Residential Delivery - Enable home delivery service for residential addresses

  • Special Instructions - Add shipping comments and special handling instructions

  • Reference Fields - Track shipments with custom reference numbers for your internal records

  • Void Shipments - Cancel shipments by tracking number before carrier pickup

Address Requirements

Important: Colony/Locality Field

Mexican addresses require a Colony (Colonia) or Locality field, which appears as Address Line 2 in ShipRush. This field is mandatory for both origin and destination addresses.

Required Fields for Rating

Origin Address:

  • Country (must be Mexico)

  • City

  • Address Line 2 (Colony/Locality) - Required

  • Postal Code

Destination Address:

  • Country (must be Mexico)

  • City

  • Address Line 2 (Colony/Locality) - Required

  • Postal Code

Additional Fields Required for Shipping

When creating shipments, you'll also need:

Origin Address:

  • State

  • Street Address (Address Line 1)

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Company name and/or Contact name

Destination Address:

  • Street Address (Address Line 1)

  • Email address - Required

  • Phone number

  • Company name and/or Contact name

Labels and Tracking

Label Formats

Paquet Express labels are generated as PDF files in 4x6 thermal format. ShipRush automatically converts these labels based on your printer settings:

  • PDF - Default 4x6 thermal format

  • PNG images - For standard printers (multi-page PDFs converted to individual images)

  • ZPL format - For thermal printers

Label generation includes a brief processing delay to ensure proper preparation before download.

Delivery Confirmation Labels

When you request delivery confirmation (acknowledgment of receipt/signature required), Paquet Express generates two separate labels with two tracking numbers:

  1. Main shipment label - Primary tracking number for the shipment

  2. Acknowledgment label - Secondary tracking number for proof of delivery

Important: Both labels must be printed and attached to your shipment for delivery confirmation service.

Tracking Numbers

After creating a shipment, you'll receive one or two tracking numbers depending on whether delivery confirmation was requested. These numbers allow you to monitor your shipment status through Paquet Express.

Limitations

Not Supported

  • International Shipping - Only domestic Mexico shipments are available

  • End of Day Reports - No manifest or close-out process supported

  • Pickup Status Check - Cannot check the status of pickup requests

  • Pickup Cancellation - Cannot cancel scheduled pickups through the API

  • Real-time Tracking API - Use the Paquet Express website for tracking updates

Important Considerations

  • Automatic Charges: Shipping costs may include charges for residential delivery and pickup requests even when not explicitly selected in the shipment form. This is determined by the carrier based on the delivery address

  • Void Limitations: When voiding a shipment with delivery confirmation, only the primary tracking number is cancelled. The acknowledgment label tracking number (if generated) is not voided automatically

  • Third Party Payment: Third party payment requires entering the third party account number. The payment account number and postal code fields will be displayed in the shipping form when this option is selected

  • State Code Handling: ShipRush correctly interprets Mexican state code "NL" (Nuevo León) for proper address validation

  1. Verify all required address fields are completed, especially the Colony/Locality (Address Line 2)

  2. Ensure your Paquet Express account credentials are entered correctly

  3. Confirm your shipment is within Mexico (domestic only)
