Important
FedEx® Migration to REST APIs + OAuth
FedEx has announced upcoming mandatory deadlines to migrate all integrations to their new REST APIs, which include updated OAuth-based security protocols. Most ShipRush users have already completed this transition. If you have already migrated your FedEx accounts to the new REST connections, no action is required.
However, if you are still using legacy API connections, you must migrate before the carrier deadlines below to avoid disruptions in rating, shipping, and tracking.
FedEx Migration Information
Deadline: April 30, 2026
FedEx will discontinue legacy authentication and requires all integrations to use REST and OAuth for secure access to FedEx services.

New Features and Enhancements
🟪 We’ve added a built‑in Density Calculator to help simplify freight class selection for LTL shipments. The calculator is available directly at the Goods / Commodity level, allowing you to calculate NMFC class values quickly and consistently without leaving the shipment workflow. By entering Length, Width, Height, and Total Weight, you can now click Calculate Density and have ShipRush automatically determine and populate the correct Freight Class based on industry‑standard density ranges. This reduces manual calculations, minimizes errors, and helps ensure more accurate rating and billing.
To prevent incomplete calculations, ShipRush will clearly flag any missing required inputs. Fields that need attention are highlighted in red, and an on‑screen error message specifies exactly which value is missing so issues can be resolved immediately. Once calculated, the Class field is automatically set for that commodity, while still allowing you to review or adjust it if needed.
🟪 We’ve enhanced FedEx Paperless Processing for international shipments by giving you explicit control over whether electronically submitted customs documents are returned to you.
When Paperless Processing is enabled, FedEx generates and submits Electronic Trade Documents (ETD) as part of the shipment. Some shippers prefer to archive copies of these documents for internal records, while others do not want them returned at all. To support both workflows, ShipRush now includes a new optional setting that lets you decide. This option is available under Customs Forms > Go paperless and upload these documents (FedEx® Electronic Trade Documents)” in your FedEx shipping account settings. When enabled, you’ll receive PDF copies of all selected documents that were electronically submitted to FedEx. These PDFs are provided for reference only and do not need to be printed or attached to the shipment.
By default, this option is unchecked, preserving the behavior from previous FedEx implementations; no documents are returned unless you explicitly choose to receive them. Please note that if documents are not returned at shipment time, they cannot be retrieved later. This improvement applies consistently to both UI‑created shipments and API shipments, ensuring predictable behavior across all FedEx Paperless workflows.
Resolved Issues
The below updates improve reliability across FedEx and UPS workflows, reduce shipping interruptions, and give you greater control and accuracy when managing multi‑package and international shipments.
🟩 We resolved an issue that could cause multi‑package FedEx shipments, including Standard Overnight services, to fail due to inconsistent signature confirmation settings across packages. ShipRush now ensures that a single, consistent signature option is applied to all packages in a shipment, preventing misleading errors and enabling successful label generation.
🟩 An issue preventing FedEx Tag shipments from being successfully voided has been fixed. ShipRush now correctly processes tag cancellation requests, aligning with the latest FedEx requirements. As a result, users can reliably void tag shipments without encountering validation errors.
🟩 We fixed a regression affecting UPS international multi‑package shipments where only the first package’s reference information appeared on all labels. ShipRush now correctly supports and prints package‑level reference numbers for each package, ensuring accurate identification throughout the shipment.
