SQL Webstore - Adding the Webstore

Note: We recommend reading through the full SQL Webstore documentation, starting with the Introduction page. Once you're caught up, follow the steps below.


  1. Click the Web Stores button, on the left side of the main shipping grid.

  2. Click Add Web Store along the top bar of the page.

  3. Select SQL from the platform list, then click Next.

  4. You'll be presented with a screen indicating that Descartes ShipRush works directly with your SQL database, which requires the Descartes ShipRush Desktop Toolbox. If you do not already have it installed on the computer hosting the SQL connection, you can download it from the link provided. Also available, here.

  5. Click I have my connection string!

    Note:
    For the next steps, you will need to have the Descartes ShipRush Desktop Toolbox installed, SQL connection string, SELECT query, and UPDATE query available.

  6. A new screen will appear to configure your SQL connection. You will need to provide your SQL connection string, SELECT query, and UPDATE query here.

  7. Click the Continue button.

  8. Another screen will display and indicate it is time to ship. Click Go to Shipping.

    Your web store has now been configured. Now, you should test connectivity.

  9. Click the edit link to the right of where you see your newly created SQL Web Store.

  10. Click on the Test button.

    Note: If you receive any errors, make any necessary modifications to your Connection String and run the test again. Do not forget to click the Save button after making any changes to ensure they are applied to the Webstore.

  11. Upon a successful connection, you will see the message "Connection to SQL Serer successfully established."
