Connecting to Walmart

When setting up Walmart in Descartes ShipRush Web using the webstore setup wizard, you only need to provide your Client ID and Client Secret. To find those items, log in to your Walmart Admin Console, and then follow this link: https://developer.walmart.com/#/generateKey.


Alternate Path for Connecting to Walmart

in the Settings area of the Walmart Admin Console, you can also connect using the credentials generated in the "Delegate Access" area. However, the process of flagging Descartes ShipRush Web with the required permissions is more involved. It should only be used if a concern exists regarding the use of the full-permission token generated through the link, above. Do the following (refer to the graphic below):

  1. In your Walmart Admin Console, click the account link (upper right corner). Click Delegate Access.

  2. On the Provider dropdown, find Descartes ShipRush Web, and then click Add Provider.

  3. In the new permissions area, set Items to View Only.

  4. Set Item Management - Inventory to Full Access.

  5. Set Order Management - Order to Full Access.

  6. The other permissions can be set to No Access.

  7. Click the API Key link. Copy the credentials from the popup window into the Descartes ShipRush Web setup wizard.

  8. Continue with the setup wizard until complete.
