The Email settings page for the selected Carrier account can be used to set up additional email addresses to receive email notifications (in addition to the email addresses coming from the e-commerce system). Depending on the Carrier, the email notifications can be sent from the shipping Carrier or Descartes ShipRush Web when a Shipment, a Delivery, or an Exception occurs.
Note: The options vary on the Email settings page, depending on the selected Carrier. See UPS, FedEx, ShipRush USPS, Amazon, or Web Store.
Note: LTL shipments are often only trackable via the PRO number. You can tell Descartes ShipRush Web to look for the PRO number and, once known, send the notification email automatically. See PRO Number Email Notification Option for details.
UPS
To set email notification options for a UPS account:
Display the Email settings page for a UPS account (SETTINGS > select a Carrier account > Email).
The Email settings page is displayed for the selected UPS account.-
To send the email notifications from:
The Shipping Carrier, select Shipping carrier sends email notification. The Carrier's standard email notification template is used, so you cannot control the content of the email notification.
Descartes ShipRush Web, select ShipRush sends email notification. You can control the content and appearance of the email notification by selecting a template. Descartes ShipRush Web sends the email notification when the label is printed.

If you selected ShipRush sends email notification:
Enter the From Email address.
Enter the From Name. This will be the From Name in the email notification. For example, you could enter your business name or your name.
Enter the Subject (for example, "Shipment Confirmation from A-Z Merchandise"). Merge codes can be used for the Subject.
Select an email notification Template: "Default (Email)", "Modern (Email)", or another template. See Managing Email Notification Templates for details on creating and modifying email notification templates.

Emails to Always Send:
Shipment: If selected, will auto-check the Shipment email for every Shipment. This option can be used, for example, to cc yourself (enter your own email address).
Delivery: If selected, will auto-check the Delivery email for every Shipment. If Add Shipment Email is checked, the main email address will be copied to the Delivery email address.

Exception: If selected, will auto-check the Exception email for every shipment. If Add Shipment Email is checked, the main email address will be copied to the Exception email address.
Email addresses entered in Shipment, Delivery, and Exception are added to the email addresses coming from the e-commerce system.
The email notification is sent only if the recipient's email address has been entered by the time of Shipment.
To email a test email notification, click Send test email.
FedEx
To setup email notifications for a FedEx account:
Display the Email settings page for a UPS account (SETTINGS > your FedEx account > Email).
The Email settings page is displayed for the selected FedEx account.-
To send the email notifications from:

Suppress all emails when shipping from this web store: Email notifications are not sent. In certain cases, email notifications should not be sent. For example, Amazon automatically emails buyers when ShipRush sends the tracking number for the Order.
Send email for orders shipped on this Web Store using shipping account settings: The email notifications are sent using the email settings for the shipping account. This option may be selected to help ensure consistency; all shipments on the account will have the same email.
Send email for orders shipped on this Web Store using these settings: Orders shipping from this Web Store trigger email notifications based on the options selected, below.

Using Merge Codes in Subject Field
Merge codes can be used in the Subject field. Examples:
"French Truffle Order Shipped: %ItemTitle%": This merges the description of the first item on the order. It can be especially useful for eBay and PayPal orders.
"French Truffle Order Shipped to %ShipToName%": This merges the Ship To name.
"French Truffle Order %OrderNum% On Its Way!" This merges the Order Number.
