Web Store Settings

Shipment Default Settings

You can specify default settings for the web store's shipments, such as the Shipping Account, Declared Value, Reference, Ship From address information, and others. Do the following:

  1. Display the web store's Shipment Defaults page (SETTINGS > WEBSTORES > Shipment Defaults (under the web store name). The available options on the Shipment Defaults page may vary, depending on the selected web store.



    To display more information about a field or option, hover on its information icon:

  2. As needed, enter or edit the information into the fields and select or de-select the various options.

  3. To save your Shipment Defaults entries and settings, click Back (top right of screen).


Email Default Settings

To specify the default email settings for the web store:

  1. Display the web store's Email page (SETTINGS > WEBSTORES > Email (under the web store name).


  2. Select one of the following:

    1. Suppress all emails when shipping from this web store: Email notifications are not sent. In certain cases, email notifications should not be sent. For example, Amazon automatically emails buyers when ShipRush sends the tracking number for the Order.

    2. Send email for orders shipped on this Web Store using shipping account settings: The email notifications are sent using the email settings for the shipping account. This option may be selected to help ensure consistency; all shipments on the account would have the same email.

    3. Send email for orders shipped on this Web Store using these settings: Orders shipping from this Web Store trigger email notifications based on the options selected in the next Step.

  3. If you selected Send email for orders shipped on this Web Store using these settings, do the following:

    1. Enter the From Email address.

    2. Enter the From Name. This will be the From Name in the email notification. For example, you could enter your business name or your name.

    3. Enter the Subject (for example, "Shipment Confirmation from A-Z Merchandise"). Merge codes can be used in the Subject.

  4. Select an email notification Template: "Default (Email)", "Modern (Email)", or another template. See Managing Email Notification Templates for details on creating and modifying email notification templates.

  5. To send a test email notification, click Send test email.


Using Merge Codes in Subject Field

Merge codes can be used in the Subject field.

Examples:

  • "French Truffle Order Shipped: %ItemTitle%": This merges the description of the first item on the order. It can be especially useful for eBay and PayPal orders.

  • "French Truffle Order Shipped to %ShipToName%": This merges the Ship To name.

  • "French Truffle Order %OrderNum% On Its Way!" This merges the Order Number.


Advanced Default Settings

On the Advanced settings page for the web store, you can set the default currency and measurement units as well as specify the default Automation Rule(s) for Lights Out Automation.

To display the Advanced settings page for the web store, go to SETTINGS > WEBSTORES > Advanced (under the web store name).


Setting the Default Measurement System and Currency

The web store's Advanced page can be used to select the default Measurement System and Currency (see upper area of the graphic above). If needed, apply your selections to downloaded Orders by clicking Apply to already downloaded orders.


Lights Out Automation for Web Store

The web store's Advanced page can be used to select the default Automation Rule(s) for Lights Out Automation. See Configurating Lights Out Automation for Web Store for details.


Mark Up Rates Settings

The Mark Up Rates page can be used to mark-up the total Shipment cost by a percentage or fixed amount, set a Handling Fee, and set the Minimum Shipping Charges. See Mark Up Rates for additional details.


Packing List Default Settings

The Packing List page can be used to set the print and layout options for your primary Packing List. See Packing List Settings for details on the various fields and options on the Settings - Packing List page.

To display the Packing List Settings page for the web store, go to SETTINGS > WEBSTORES > Packing List (under the web store name).


Service Mappings

Note: This section explains how to manage Service Mappings for a web store. Click here for additional details on Service Mappings.

To manage Service Mappings for a web store:

  1. Go to SETTINGS > WEB STORES > Service Mappings (under the web store name). The Service Mappings page is displayed for the selected web store. For example:


  2. To add a Service Mapping, click the plus-sign (+). The Service Mapping fields are displayed.


  3. Enter the Service Mapping's Priority.

  4. Enter the Webstore Service Name to indicate the name of the shipping service as provided by the web store. It is usually a generic name, such as Express, Standard, FedEx, etc. The official name is shown in the Order's Ship Via field (see graphic, below).


  5. Select the ShipRush Shipping Service, which is the exact name of the shipping service coming from the Carrier, such as USPS Express 2-Day, UPS Worldwide Standard, or FedEx Ground.

  6. Repeat the above step to add another Service Mapping.

  7. To delete a Service Mapping, click the trash can icon.


Tracking Settings

A ShipRush or Carrier Tracking page can be enabled for the Web Store, allowing the customer to view tracking information and updates. The Tracking page is displayed when the user clicks a tracking link in Descartes ShipRush Web.

Note: The ShipRush Tracking page is sometimes referred to as the custom tracking webpage.

To display the Settings page for the web store's Tracking page, go to SETTINGS > WEB STORES > Tracking (under the web store name).

Select one of the options. If you selected Use ShipRush Tracking Page, then select a template on the Template dropdown. See Enabling a Carrier or ShipRush Tracking Page for additional details.


Editing or Deleting a Web Store

To edit the web store's information or parameters, or delete the web store:

  1. Go to SETTINGS > WEB STORES > Edit/Delete (under the web store name). The Edit Web Store window is displayed. See Editing Web Stores or Deleting Web Stores for another way to edit or delete a web store.



    The fields and options in the Edit Web Store window vary, depending on the selected web store.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To delete the web store, scroll to the bottom of the Edit Web Store window, and then click Delete Web Store.

    • To edit the web store, as needed, edit the fields and select different options. Click Save. See Editing Web Stores for additional details.
