Adding the Webstore

To connect ShipRUsh to BigCommerce you will need a new API token, which can be generated with these steps:

1. Log into your BigCommerce admin account, and go to Settings › API Accounts and click + Create API Account.

2. Select the Account type. select V2/V3 API token

3. Enter a Name for the app/integration corresponding to this account, such as ShipRush, then copy or make a note of the API path — you'll need it to use the API account. The name can be a minimum of four characters long.

4. Under OAuth Scopes, specify the API resources and permissions to which your app/integration requires access. Change Orders to modify and products to read-only

5. When you’re done making changes, click Save. A successful save will display the pop-up. It will contain the API credentials that your app will need for OAuth access, and you will be prompted by your browser to download a .txt file containing the same credentials for safekeeping on your computer.

6. From My.ShipRush.com settings add a Bigcommerce Web Store and follow the prompts. The API path was provided during creating the connection and the other 2 values are in the document that downloaded when you clicked save after creating the connection.

These options (highlighted in the ) are available in the Edit BigCommerce Web Store dialog:

Warning: Selecting Enable Enhanced Order DeDuplication increases the amount of time needed for downloading new Orders. Use this option only when needed.

  • Update Shipping Charge: If selected, Descartes ShipRush Web will post back the quoted shipping charge for the Shipment to BigCommerce, possibly overwriting the listed charge. This option can be disabled at any time.
