New Features and Enhancements

US Government Suspension of De Minimis Exemption

🟪 To help you navigate recent regulatory changes, ShipRush now offers enhanced capabilities for shipping to and from the USA. Following the US Government’s announcement to suspend the de minimis exemption for cross-border shipments, shippers must now provide additional information to US Customs for all international shipments. For more details, please see this White House fact sheet (effective September 2025).

To ensure a seamless shipping experience and ongoing compliance, we have introduced the following updates to our supported international carriers:

  • Tax ID entry is now available for international shipments.

  • HS Tariff Codes can be entered at the commodity level in both the UI and API for international shipments.

Royal Mail Migration to New Version

🟪 To continue shipping with Royal Mail, all users must migrate to the new integration version before the end of September. Please visit the Royal Mail migration guide for a clear, step-by-step walkthrough of the process.
This migration is required because Royal Mail now uses a new, more secure connection, ensuring your shipments remain safe and reliable.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been addressed in this release, further improving reliability and user experience in ShipRush:

GLS Germany Label Formatting Improvements

🟩 The GLS Germany carrier API integration now more intelligently handles sender names when a company is not provided, ensuring shipments can be processed seamlessly and labels will be populated with the required data for Name and Company, if provided. The change is described below:

  • Previous behavior:

    • Only the Name field was used regardless of whether it consists of the name of the company or name of the shipper.

    • The Name field was mandatory, causing shipments to fail when sent as an individual without a company.

  • New behavior:

    • If a Company name is provided, Company goes to the correct company name field, and the Person’s Name goes to Kontakt field on the label.

    • If no Company is provided, Person’s Name goes to receive name, and Kontakt field will be skipped. This behavior is allowed by GLS Germany and is additionally recommended in their documentation.

      • Person’s Name continues to map to the Kontakt field on the label.

      • Validation now ensures receiver name/company is never empty, improving reliability for all shipment scenarios.

WooCommerce Plugin Compatibility Restored

🟩 An issue affecting the use of the Flexible Product Fields plugin with WooCommerce has been resolved. WooCommerce users can once again retrieve orders and updates via the dedicated SFTP server without interruption.
