FedEx® (Federal Express Corporation) has improved its APIs and OAuth process to access these REST APIs. Their process now uses OAuth (Open Authorization) 2.0, allowing Descartes ShipRush Desktop to connect to FedEx without sharing credentials. The Descartes ShipRush Desktop application has been modified to accommodate the new FedEx authorization process and connection.
This section provides step-by-step instructions for migrating to the new APIs for your FedEx account (s) in Descartes ShipRush Desktop.

Have your FedEx account number(s) information ready before performing the steps, below:
Step 1
Download ShipRush FedEx from our beta download page
- Link to that download can be requested from Customer Service - info@shiprush.com
Step 2
Make sure your existing installation of ShipRush is closed and exited
Run the installer and let it finish the setup
Step 3
Click on the ShipRush icon in the system tray and go to settings | shipping settings
- Highlight your FedEx account
- Click Delete Account
- If you have more than one FedEx account, you will need to repeat these steps for all accounts
Step 4
Once all of your FedEx accounts have been removed, the wizard will start up to add a FedEx account to the system

Log into ShipRush with your email\password
Agree to Terms and Conditions
Most users should have a My.ShipRush login
If you do not, Click the Sign Up at the bottom of the login screen
- Most users will select I want to Create a new ShipRush FedEx Account
- If you also use ShipRush Web with FedEx, select I want to use my existing ShipRush UPS account
- Select it from the list and continue to step 5
- On Terms and Conditions page scroll down and agree and click next
- Enter in your FedEx account information to be used in ShipRush
Step 5
- After entering in your FedEx account information or selecting your existing FedEx account from ShipRush Web, setup the printer
- Select if you're using this with an eCommerce platform (ShipRush Order Manager), or no
- Finish
