Germany Domestic Services

  • DHLCourierSameDay: Premium courier same day delivery service within Germany with enhanced handling.

  • DHLPackageReturnsOnline: Convenient online returns service for domestic packages within Germany.

  • DHLPackageSmallGoods: Cost-effective delivery service for small goods within Germany (Note: This service is being replaced by DHLPackageKleinpaket after May 31st, 2025).

  • DHLPackageKleinpaket: Small parcel delivery service within Germany, replacing the Small Goods service.

  • DHLExpressDomestic: Express delivery service for time-sensitive shipments within Germany.


Germany International Services

  • DHLPackageInternational: Standard international package delivery from Germany to worldwide destinations.

  • DHLPackage for domestic Austria shipments

  • DHLPackageConnect for both domestic and international shipments

  • DHLPackageInternational for worldwide delivery from Austria

Special Features and Requirements
- Geographic Coverage: DHL Paket services are specifically designed for shipments originating in Germany and Austria only.
- European Focus: Several services (DHLEuroPack, DHLPackageConnect) are optimized for European destinations and may offer enhanced delivery options within Europe.
- Returns Management: Both domestic and international return services are available to streamline your returns process.
- Same Day Options: Multiple same-day delivery options are available for urgent shipments within Germany.


Setting Up Your DHL Paket Account in ShipRush

To use DHL Paket shipping services in ShipRush, you must connect your DHL Paket account:

  1. Navigate to settings

  2. Click "Add Carrier" and choose "DHL Paket" from the list.

  3. Enter Account Details:
    Provide your DHL customer number, EKP (electronic customer number), and API credentials.
    You may need your DHL username, password, and business customer portal access information.

  4. After entering your details, click "Save"

Creating a New DHL Paket Account

If you do not have a DHL Paket account, you can create one:

  • Visit the DHL Business Customer Portal

  • Register for a business account to access DHL Paket shipping services and obtain your EKP and API credentials.

  • Once registered, log in to your DHL account and locate your customer number and API credentials.

  • Return to ShipRush and follow the steps above to connect your new account.


How to Choose the Right Service

  • Speed: For urgent shipments within Germany, choose DHLPackageSameDay or DHLCourierSameDay. For standard delivery, use DHLPackage or DHLExpressDomestic.

  • Destination: Use domestic services for shipments within your origination country (Germany or Austria). Choose international services for cross-border shipments.

  • European Delivery: For shipments within Europe, consider DHLEuroPack or DHLPackageConnect for optimized European delivery.

  • Returns: Use DHLPackageReturnsOnline for domestic returns or DHLPackageReturnsInternational for international returns.

  • Package Size: DHLPackageKleinpaket and small goods services are designed for smaller items and may offer cost savings.


Note: Some advanced services may require a business account and specific contract terms with DHL. Service availability may vary based on your DHL contract type and destination country.
