Descartes ShipRush Web prints two different customs forms:
Form 2976-A, aka CP72, aka "Large Form"
Form 2976, aka CN22, aka "Small Form"
Note: The CN22 and CP72 forms include the invoice information on the label. In most cases, additional invoices/documentation are not needed. Questions regarding which forms are required should be directed to the U.S. Postal Service, which has a team of specialists who can assist you. Contact the U.S. Postal Service at 1-800-ASK-USPS or https://www.usps.com/business/international-shipping.htm.

Descartes ShipRush Web Discount Postage v2 Auto Form Selection
v2 automatically selects the most appropriate available customs form for your Shipment. For example, a low value Shipment to an APO may only be available on a CN22 form. Therefore, if you select CP72, Descartes ShipRush Web may prompt you to print it on a CN22. Conversely, a high value Shipment to Germany may require a CP72, so if CN22 is selected, Descartes ShipRush may prompt you to print it on a CP72.
As the system and server infrastructure are improved, forms that today may print large (e.g. CP72 on a piece of paper) will automatically move to the thermal printer.
Example form selection as of January 2017:
Priority small flat rate box: Output to thermal printer
First Class: Output to thermal printer
Priority medium flat rate box: Output to paper printer
Priority 5lb: Output to paper printer
Descartes ShipRush Web automatically selects the proper customs form for your Shipment.
Note: The number of copies that are printed depends on the destination country. As of this writing, only one copy is printed (and needed) for Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, US Territories, and FPO/APO. Please note that this list is subject to frequent change by the USPS; more countries are moving to one-copy service. Three copies are printed for other countries. Therefore, the number of CP72 copies you receive after processing your label is the correct quantity to include with your Shipment.
